How can you know if a claim is true or false in a hypothesis test?

Using the Conference Interval Method and Critical Value Method(Statistics)How can you know if a claim is true or false in a hypothesis test?
Ouch.

(1) do you mean ';confidence interval method';

(2) the short answer is that no statistical method can tell you if a claim is true or false.

(3) what it can tell you is whether the data ';supports'; or ';does not support'; the claim.

This is really important. you do need to understand that all you are dealing with is a probability that a claim is true. you can never know if it true for sure.
