What's the difference between hope and false hope?

They're the same exact thing.

Think about it.What's the difference between hope and false hope?
Hope hinges on something that can actually occur.

False hope hinges on the impossible. What's the difference between hope and false hope?
Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference. But with experience and time you can eventually determine what is a real diamond and what is just glass.
One has the possibility of being true. The other is just a delusion to avoid thinking about something painful; an emotional buffer if you will.
Hope is eternal while false hope usually come in the instant gratification temptations.
False hope is what other people have.
false hope is delusion
Solo nailed it.
Hope = I'll get some me time tonight

False hope = Me meeting you.
false hope is thinking you'll adopt me %26amp; let me nuzzle
false hope is hope that is not realized so it can only be known as false hope in retrospect
Hope is the belief, based on some evidence, that things are going to turn out well. False hope is the same thing but without the evidence.

Lately, I'm feeling a good deal of the former.
False hope is false. You had hope in someone/something, and they let you down. If your hope doesn't come through as you hoped, it was false. lol
Courage and knowlage.
To give someone false hope is to let someone believe that something can or might happen when you know it really won't whereas hope is believing in something that can happen
Hope is believing in something that may actually occur. False hope is believing in something that practically will not occur.

Example of hope: Thinking I will not have to work this weekend.

False hope: That Linz will one day fall madly in love with me.
False hope is when a person tries to still have hope when it is obviously something that will not happen. For example....a 90 year old woman hoping she will get pregnant with her own biological child.
False hope seems to imply that there is little or no reason to have hope. Hope is grounded in something that could reasonably be attained or achieved. If your hope is unreasonable, or not grounded in reality, then it is false.
false hope is hope that lets you down?
