Is it worth it to sue a store for False Advertising?

A store has a advertisement that says: 4 for $10 General Mills Cereal 11.5-16 oz, I bought 4 boxes of General Mills Cereal, I bought a 16 oz box of Multigrain Cheerios, a 15 oz box of regular Cheerios, and two boxes of Total that weight 12 oz each. All fitting the requirements. They charged me regular price. The manager says that the only General Mills Cereal on sale is Kix, Cheerios, and Honey Nut Cheerios. The Cheerios is only 10 oz.Is it worth it to sue a store for False Advertising?
Lawyers cost hundreds of dollars an hour. A court judgment at best would cover the 4 or 5 bucks you should have saved with the cereal. It is far cheaper and faster to just start shopping at a different store. Is it worth it to sue a store for False Advertising?
what u should do is find the add and then show the add 2 the manager and point out the fact that u do have all the requirements but i wouldn't sue over a little thing like that plus if u did happen 2 loose look at all that money u just lost
No. You haven't incurred any damages. The store would have accepted a return on your purchases. The advertising sounds misleading, but in a nominal way.
You have to ask yourself one question, ';is it cost effective for me to sue for that';???? In some cases it could be to your benefit (depends on the items/value), but not for your situation.
It would hardly seem worth it to me unless you're planning on claiming emtional damage and asking for punitive damages.
You would sue over miscommunication of which cereals are on sale? Did you read the fine print? If anything, this is a perfect example of a store manager having no clue about customer service. If there is a paying customer buying tons of a product because you've advertised it as being on sale, give the customer a pass this time on the fine print and allow the sale price. Poor customer service, sure, but not grounds to sue. The cost of filing in small claims court is far more than the extra money you spent on the cereal.
