What is the difference between hope & faith? If there are true believers, are there false believers?

Hope is wishing for an outcome.

Faith is believing in an outcome. What is the difference between hope %26amp; faith? If there are true believers, are there false believers?
The way I see it (i am non-denominational, Christian) I can hope for someone to fall in lone with me or I can have faith in God, knowing that He has someone out there for me and he will send him on His time. Yes, there are false believers. They are those that take one part of the Bible and twist it into something completely different, sometimes by mixing a scripture from one book with a scripture of a completely different book. All I can say is the Bible is not a puzzle book, it is a instruction book on how we should live ours lives and all of it is right. You cant take half the Bible and say that portion is correct but then go to a different portion and say that portion is wrong. Hope that help. If you have any religion based questions feel free to e-mail me.What is the difference between hope %26amp; faith? If there are true believers, are there false believers?
Faith is a commitment to living as if certain inobvious hypotheses are true.

Hope is the desire that an anticipated outcome will occur.

A ';false'; believer would be someone who occasionally examines and tests his beliefs for validity. A ';true believer'; would be someone who never questions what he believes or does. The term is not always sincerely applied.
Hope is keeping a positive attitude that something may still work out favorable. Hoping is just wishing and thinking it's still possible.

Faith is believing in something without empirical evidence.

Having faith something will happen is thinking that something will likely happen, not just wishing.
Hope - what you can be, and will be. Some of this is certain, some possible if one goes for it. Expectation.

Faith - believing in a specific of hope. (Hope is not faith, its the image of what's possible, or in some cases will be for sure in time to come.)

Christian hope is based upon the promises of God, and the fact that God has paid for the blessings of all sorts through Christ.

When you are in faith your hope is realised.

Secular hope would be what a person can achieve based upon knowledge of human nature, and the creative and other achievements of men. Secular faith is self-belief and belief in the usually functional working of society to aid us.
Hope is when you want something to be true without any proof it is. Faith is when you believe a higher power will make something true when there is no proof that it is. There are false believers as well as true believers. For example, TV evangelists that care more about the money they are raking in than sharing God's Word are false believers. People who go to Church every week yet always tell the homeless man begging for change to get lost are false believers. True believers practice their faith always, not just when it's convenient or when other people are watching.
There are both.(Matthew 3:12) His winnowing shovel is in his hand, and he will completely clean up his threshing floor, and will gather his wheat into the storehouse, but the chaff he will burn up with fire that cannot be put out.”Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.

. 6 Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please [him] well, for he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.
Hope = the belief that good things will happen to oneself or to another in the future.

Faith = the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.

A false believer is someone who is generally considered to believe in something, but truly does not.
The Faith of those of The True Christian Faith is based upon The Fact of God... because we know, we have the hope of that which God promises us...

There are indeed false believers.... more who claim the title of Christian are not, than are... far too many follow man invented dogma and ';tradition'; and do not have the assurance of True Salvation.

The world thinks there are more ';christians than there actually are... perhaps only 10%, or less, of those the world refers to as Christians, actually are of The True Christian Faith.
If you hope something is going to happen, you don't know for sure if it really will. If you have faith something will happen, you know beyond a doubt that it will happen. To answer your second question...

There are people who say they are believers but lead you down the wrong path. There are false prophets.
Hope is not knowledge, but rather the abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill His promise to us. It is confidence that if we live according to God’s laws and the words of His prophets now, we will receive desired blessings in the future. It is believing and expecting that our prayers will be answered. It is manifest in confidence, optimism, enthusiasm, and patient perseverance.

Hope is a gift of the Spirit. It is a hope that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the power of His Resurrection, we shall be raised unto life eternal and this because of our faith in the Savior. This kind of hope is both a principle of promise as well as a commandment, and, as with all commandments, we have the responsibility to make it an active part of our lives and overcome the temptation to lose hope. Hope in our Heavenly Father’s merciful plan of happiness leads to peace, mercy, rejoicing, and gladness. The hope of salvation is like a protective helmet; it is the foundation of our faith and an anchor to our souls.

++++++++

The Apostle Paul taught that ';faith is the substance [assurance] of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen'; (Hebrews 11:1). Alma made a similar statement: ';If ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true';. Faith is a principle of action and power. Whenever we work toward a worthy goal, we exercise faith. We show our hope for something that we cannot yet see.

In order for faith to lead to salvation, it must be centered in the Lord Jesus Christ (see Acts 4:10–12). We can exercise faith in Christ when we have an assurance that He exists, a correct idea of His character, and a knowledge that we are striving to live according to His will.

Having faith in Jesus Christ means relying completely on Him—trusting in His infinite power, intelligence, and love. It includes believing His teachings. It means believing that even though we do not understand all things, He does. Because He has experienced all our pains, afflictions, and infirmities, He knows how to help us rise above our daily difficulties. He has ';overcome the world'; (John 16:33) and prepared the way for us to receive eternal life. He is always ready to help us as we remember His plea: ';Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not';.
hope is being wishful for something to come, that things can turn out for the best. faith is relying on a belief in something, anything even without proof of it's existence. i think a false believer would be someone who doesn't believe or have faith in anything at all.
The difference between hope and faith, is hope is that you are not sure of what you';re going to receive, and faith is knowing that you will receive what you hoped for. And yes there are true believers and false believers.
I would say faith is believing it will happen, without the doubt. Hope is more of a wish and thinking it's possible, but acknowledging that it may not.
Tiffany's answered your first question, so I'll try the second...:

There is only One True Believer (';Faithful and True'; - Rev 19.11)... the rest are false believers on their own, but true believers when they trust Him, and His faith.
Hope is like wanting and wishing that something exists, Faith is like feeling and believing that something exists.. There is a difference..
Hope is a belief the future will come out the way you want it; faith is a belief that the past blessings you have had will continue.
a true believer believes in something no matter what the future . a false believer believes in something to benifit from what the religion says will happen in afterlife

Faith is when you have confidence and trust in someone.

Hope means the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best.
People will admit things they hope for aren't (yet) true. No such luck with faith.
Hope and Faith are sisters.

Trust me, you want to date Hope, she puts out....
