That is of course trueAmerica is not a nation built on christian principles, true or false?
I love it when ignorant people select as best answer equally ignorant answers.
The same sort of people who voted for Bush and will vote for Palin -- ignorant people drawn to other ignorant people, and ignoring smarter people.

True. _Some_ of the principles this nation was built on are also principles of the Christian religion, just as they are also principles of most religions. Those same principles are basic human values, basic building blocks of civilization, and do not ';belong'; solely to religion, let alone only to Christianity. Christians who continue to insist that the U.S. was designed to be ';a Christian nation'; should read up on the ';Enlightenment.'; There was much argument even when this country was being founded with some founders and others wanting more religiosity in the foundation and others wanting less or even none. Many Christians were offended by the ';Godless'; constitution even from the beginning.
North America, or South America?
America is a continent, not a nation.
If you're asking about the United States of America, it's built on the principles of Rousseau, John Locke, and the ancient Greek form of representative government.
I would say that is mostly true, but Christianity is one of the things that has shaped some of our societies principles(for better or worse). You cant' expect something like the largest religion in our society to have no effect on our culture.
Most of the stuff is just human nature.
You could argue that simple principles like ';don't kill, don't steal, etc'; are Christian principles. But if you consider those basic human principles, then the answer is true.
PBS is running a program on how the U S government was shaped by the Holy Bible. Everyone who said true is truly delusional.
True.
It is built on a lot more.
The Christian aspects of morality to which the country adheres are not solely tied to that theism.
it's a nation built on the principles of humanity, that cross religious boundaries
I'd say true. (that is of course of my own opinion, and it is neither right nor wrong).
True, in my view.
True.
