i just took one and its positive, should i beleive it? or buy a name brand test and retest?Alot of target brand reviews say they have gotten false positives on pregnancy test?
Buy a Clear Blue Digital Pregnancy Test (results in words) to be sure that you are pregnant.Alot of target brand reviews say they have gotten false positives on pregnancy test?
There are various reasons why you might think you have a false positive - an evaporation line, from leaving the test too long, as someone else just said. There's also something called a chemical pregnancy, where you get a positive, because fertilisation has occurred, so you are producing some of the hormones, but a few days later you get a negative -this is because the egg hasn't implanted. Apparently around 50% of fertilisations don't result in implantation. It is therefore better to test when your period is due, rather than before, to avoid disappointment.
It's worth testing again with a brand name, if you're concerned yours isn't reliable, but bear in mind the points about chemical pregnancy and evaporation lines.
I'll bet the test first says negative and the longer it sits it turns positive. It is an evaporation line, not a positive. This appears to be common problem with tests by made by Iverness partly, I suspect, because gals aren't reading the directions (most tests are only accurate for 10 minutes or so).
If in doubt, get a name brand. A false positive is very rare.
they are all the same. it depends on when you test. they may have tested too early and there are cases with any brand that they come out false neg. or pos. brand really has nothing to do with it. they are all the same. i took all cheap off brand tests and they all came back pos. they all work the same and all have same effects. some just cost more bc they are ';fancy';. the best way is just go to a dr.
Don't be cheap when buying a pregnancy test. By the best-reviewed brand to prevent yourself from having to buy more than one in the long-run.
If you want a true test, go to a doctor.
try a different brand good luck
however i think false positives are not really false..some of those people on reviews could have other medical conditions to cause them to get false positives then want to vent on the test...
I would say go digital(clear blue)so you will have a definite answer without having trying to look and see if there is a line there or not.
